About Babbaki
Babbaki was born in January 2019 by sisters Beatriz and Andrea Pérez-Mas , united by the desire to start a business together and by a shared passion for creativity, family and the sea.
Entrepreneurship runs in their blood: their father is also a businessman, and it was during a family vacation in Greece in the summer of 2018 that the idea for Babbaki began to take shape. The brand name, which means cotton in Greek, is a tribute to those Aegean islands that so greatly inspire their style.
Mediterranean inspiration
Summer brings with it a longing for sun, sea, sunsets, and also our inspiration. At Babbaki, we create timeless pieces to enjoy summer after summer.
Our design process begins in our Barcelona studio, where each collection is born calmly and without following the usual fashion calendar. We design under a single philosophy: to create with meaning, respecting the environment and the natural beauty of the materials.
Natural materials and crafts
All our garments are made with natural fibers , mainly cotton voile , for their freshness and softness in contact with the skin.
Every year we travel to India to collaborate with artisans who are experts in the ancient technique of block printing , a manual process that involves carving designs into wood and printing them on cotton with natural dyes. We work hand in hand with our workshops to ensure ethical and responsible production .
Fashion with a conscience
Following our slow fashion philosophy, we produce limited collections to avoid excess stock and promote more responsible consumption.
We prioritize quality over quantity and take care of every detail, from recycled labels and bags to energy savings in transportation .
Because we believe it is possible to create fashion with environmental awareness , without sacrificing style or authenticity.
